Old Firehouse Books is beyond excited to welcome Megan E. Freeman to our virtual event space to celebrate her new novel-in-verse, Alone! She will be joined by Rosemerry Wahtola Trommer, author of hush on Thursday, January 28th at 6pm MT. The event will be streaming to the Old Firehouse Books Facebook page. This event is free.
Perfect for fans of Hatchet and the I Survived series, Alone is a harrowing middle grade debut novel-in-verse from a Pushcart Prize–nominated poet Megan E. Freeman, that tells the story of a young girl who wakes up one day to find herself utterly alone in her small Colorado town. Her only companions are a Rottweiler named George and all the books she can read and her will to survive against all odds. Rosemerry Wahtola Trommer's poetry collect, hush, is meditative and lyrical, a deeply insightful look into daily life and the marvelous lessons we can learn there about being human. These two poets will share stories of survival, insight, and courage found in the every day during this event.
