Johanna Garton Book Signing!

Old Firehouse Books is delighted to host a book signing with Colorado author Johanna Garton, in celebration of her latest book, Edge of the Map! Johanna will be signing copies of her book on Saturday, September 25th, from 11:30am to 1:00pm just outside the store.

Weather permitting, this event will be taking place out front of our store, and we require that you wear a mask if unvaccinated. Readers will have the chance to say hi to this amazing author and have their books signed. Books can be purchased in advance of the event, or on the day of, but we do ask that you purchase your books inside the store before joining the signing line outside of it. (Weather not permitting, the event will be rescheduled to a later date.)

Edge of the Map is equal parts inspiring, dramatic, and heartbreaking. One of America's greatest high altitude mountaineers, Christine Boskoff was at the top of her career when she and her partner died in an avalanche in 2006. Charismatic, principled, and humble, Boskoff was also a deeply loved role model to her climbing partners and the Sherpa community. It traces the sharp twists and turns in Boskoff's life, from her early years as a Lockheed engineer, through her first successes in the climbing world, to her purchase of Seattle-based Mountain Madness. Her life was one of constant achievement mixed with personal tragedy. This is her story.

Books can be shipped anywhere within the United States (unfortunately, we cannot ship internationally).

Please email if you have any questions.
