Ground Control to Jason Heller

Lovers of science fiction and great 70s music will not want to miss this event! Denver-based author, musician, and DJ Jason Heller will be in our store on Tuesday, August 7th at 6:00pm to talk about his latest book Strange Stars: David Bowie, Pop Music, and the Decade Sci-Fi Exploded. He will be in conversation with The Music District’s Jessi Reed.

Originally intended to span science fiction’s influence from World War II to present day, Strange Stars instead digs deep into the genre’s influence on the music of the 70s. Greats such as David Bowie, Blue Oyster Cult, Parliament-Funkadelic, Rush, and more are all covered in this book that clearly points out the nerds have been winning all along.

We hope you’ll join us for this free event!
