Explore the Human Climate with Carol Smaldino

Old Firehouse Books is excited to welcome author and psychotherapist Carol Smaldino to our store. We invite you to join us on Monday, February 4th at 6pm to hear Carol give a talk on her new book The Human Climate: Facing the Divisions Inside Us and Between Us. This event is free and open to the public.

The Human Climate focuses on a central idea: We are divided on the inside and on the outside, and unless we come to understand our emotions better they will continue to control us. In the book, Smaldino explores this human climate, a term used to encompass culture, assumptions, rules, and the atmosphere of a given time and place. Addressing these elements are indispensible, according to Smaldino, if we are to effectively resolve divisions related to social and global issues, as well as our most intimate relationships.

We hope you’ll join us for this event!
