CANCELED: Book Signing with Roger Kahn

Old Firehouse Books invites readers and history buffs alike to visit the store this September and meet author Roger Kahn. He will be at our store signing copies of his book How Crested Butte Became a Tourist Town: Drugs, Sex, Sports, Arts, and Social Conflict. The signing will take place on Saturday, September 21st from 1:00 to 2:00pm. This event is free and open to the public.

Roger Kahn is a trained research sociologist. He has been a part of the Crested Butte community for over 50 years. Kahn’s book is a fun-filled social history of one of Colorado’s most well-loved mountain towns. The book tracks the evolution of the town in a post-WWII ear and the transition from the industrial age to the information age. The transformation chronicled in Crested Butte has proved very similar to many other tourist towns in both the east and west.

We hope you’ll join us for this event!
