Andy Griffiths and Eoin Colfer are Both Coming to Fort Collins!

Australia's Andy Griffiths and Ireland's Eoin Colfer will both be joining us at the library this fall!

Andy Griffiths, creator of the Treehouse series, will be at Old Town Library on Wednesday, October 23rd at 6:00pm to celebrate the release of The 117-Story Treehouse: Dots, Plots, & Daring EscapesFor as long as Andy and Terry have been writing books together, Andy has always been the narrator and Terry has always been the illustrator. But when Terry tries to prove that he can narrate as well as draw, the story goes completely out of control and the Story Police arrive to arrest the whole treehouse team for crimes against storytelling! There will be Treehouse-themed bingo, a Q&A, and a signing at the event!

Brush up on your Gnommish and get ready to leap into Haven—NYT Bestselling Author Eoin Colfer is coming to Harmony Library on Tuesday, November 12th at 6:00pm to kick off a whole new Artemis Fowl series with The Fowl Twins! A week after scientist Myles and force of nature Beckett—the Fowl twins—turn eleven, they’re left alone in the care of house security for a single night, in which they manage to befriend a troll being chased by a nefarious nobleman, an interrogating nun, and his fairy-in-training bodyguard, go on the run, and discover the strongest bond is not between atoms, but rather between twins. A Q&A and signing will follow the event.

We hope to see you at either or both of these awesome events for amazing authors from afar!

Old Firehouse Books has been selected for the 2019 Best of Fort Collins Award in the Book Store category by the Fort Collins Award Program

"Each year, the Fort Collins Award Program identifies companies that we believe have achieved exceptional marketing success in their local community and business category. These are local companies that enhance the positive image of small business through service to their customers and our community. These exceptional companies help make the Fort Collins area a great place to live, work and play. Various sources of information were gathered and analyzed to choose the winners in each category. The 2019 Fort Collins Award Program focuses on quality, not quantity. Winners are determined based on the information gathered both internally by the Fort Collins Award Program and data provided by third parties."
